Frankfurter Goulash

Ingredients

  • 100g bacon lardons
  • 3 large onions, peeled and sliced
  • 8 medium potatoes, peeled
  • 12 frankfurter sausages
  • 2 bay leaves
  • white salt and black pepper to taste
  • ~200 ml chicken stock

Method

  • Heat large saucepan over medium heat, add lardons and fry until golden.
  • Add onions and continue to fry until carmelized.
  • Add potatoes, frankfurters, bay leaves, salt, and pepper, and gently mix.
  • Pour over chicken stock and simmer covered for 30-45 minutes (or until potatoes are tender and sitting in a rich gravy).
