Lamb Stew

2 lb lamb stew meat cut in one inch cubes
l lb small new potatoes peeled and cut in half
l lb pearl onions peeled
4 cups chicken broth
l/4 cup dry vermouth (optional)
1T flour
2 T butter
l can green peas

In heavy sauce pan or dutch oven melt butter.add flour and stir until flour is cooked but not browned. Add chicken broth and vermouth. Stir until smooth. Add lamb, potatoes, and onions. Bring to boil, lower heat and simmer for 1hour stirring occasionally. Add salt and pepper to taste.
